Technologies:
Power class
- Extra fast: A tipped bend curve with a stiff bottom and middle section.
- Fast: A tipped bend curve, with a stiffer bottom and middle section.
- Moderate fast: A more tipped bend curve, with a stiffer bottom section.
- Moderate: A moderate parabollic bend curve, with a somewhat stiffer bottom section.
- Parabolic: Thru-going parabollic bend curve, mainly for downrigger and UL trout rods.
Vertical lure weight
- Defining the lure weight range that the rod is designed to work within for fishing vertically. In other words, what is the minimum and maximum weight that the rod will allow you to use for applying perfect action, yet still retaining feel and power to properly set the hook.
Casting weigt
- Defining lure weight range that the rod is designed to work within. In other words, what is the minimum and maximum weight of lure that the rod will allow you to cast at maximum distance.
Line class
- Line class rating explains the normal breaking strain of line that can be paired with a properly adjusted reel. If a rod says 8 to 12 lb, you should be able to fight a fish with reasonable drag without breaking the rod. You should not run 50lb mainline and a 30lb leader with an 8 to 12lb rod. Line rating is mainly for trolling and downrigger rods.
PE line rating
- PE line rating refers to the optimum PE braid diameters that provide ultimate performance for a rod, for casting or vertical fishing
OPT. CW.
- Optimum Casting Weight (OPT. CW.) is the optimum casting weight, where the rod performs perfect, effortless, distance and precision casting.
The blank
- Savage Gear blanks are made from original Japanese Toray carbon material, with 24T, 30T, 40T and 46T ratings. T stands for tonnage, which is a numeric value for rating graphite. The higher the graphite tonnage, the stiffer the graphite is, and the more vibrations are transmitted through the rod. As tonnage increases, less material is required to achieve the same action, thus reducing the weight of the rod and increasing its sensitivity.
1DFR
- One Directional Fiber Reinforcement (1DFR) increases blank durability without sacrificing weight or sensitivity.
CCS Sytem
- Coil Control System enables smoother and longer casting with braided lines.
