Built with period-accurate bodies, necks and hardware, premium finishes and meticulously voiced, year-specific pickups, each instrument captures the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tone.
Featuring a “C”-shape hard rock maple neck, the American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster® Thinline plays like a dream with a 7.25” radius fingerboard and vintage tall frets. To create authentic Wide-Range humbucking pickups, they resurrected CuNiFe magnets, an essential element in recreating the sonics of the originals. Characteristic of production in 1972, this Thinline is outfitted with a convenient "Bullet" style truss rod nut, three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt™ mechanism, “F” stamped tuners, 6-saddle string-through body hardtail with bent steel saddles and offered in Aged Natural, 3-Color Sunburst, and Lake Placid Blue over a semi-hollow ash body.
The instruments in the American Vintage II series are direct descendants of the original Fenders: designed for players with a fine appreciation for vintage Fender tone and feel and built with unmatched quality, down to the last screw. These are Fender electrics in their purest form.
Ash is a hardwood with a dense grain that produces a bright, punchy tone with well-defined highs and solid bass. It is known for its resonance and natural dynamics, making it suitable for musical styles where a strong sonic response is desired.
The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.
Telecaster is an electric guitar made by Fender, introduced in 1950. It has a simple and rugged design with solid construction, usually with two single-coil pickups that offer a clear, punchy tone. Known for its versatility and reliability, the Telecaster is popular in many styles of music, including country, rock and blues.
The maple fingerboard is valued for its smoothness and strength, while offering excellent playability and a clear, articulate sound. It is popular for its bright appearance and its ability to maintain accurate and detailed sound while playing.
Maple is known for its strength and stability, making it ideal for necks that need to resist bending and warping.
