The newly-updated EC-1000 is a masterpiece in high-performance guitar for the modern era. Start with the classics: a glossy black-finished beauty with gleaming gold hardware and special aesthetic touches like multi-ply body and headstock binding. Its set-thru construction at 24.75” scale with a mahogany body and three-piece fully-bound mahogany neck also draw from the traditional school of single-cut guitar design. But the EC-1000 Fluence also offers the modern amenities for today’s music performance styles, including a TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece, LTD locking tuners, a Macassar ebony fingerboard with ESP flag inlays, and 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets. This guitar also includes a set of Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker active pickups (ceramic in the bridge and alnico in the neck), with push-pull control to select voicings and gold covers to match this guitar’s amazing aesthetics. Each pickup offers two voices.
Mahogany is a dense wood that produces a warm, full tone with rich bass and a strong mid-range. It is known for its excellent sustain and resonance, giving it a deep and round sound.
The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.
Macassar ebony is a hard, dense wood with a distinctive striped pattern in shades of black and brown. It offers a clear, crisp tone with excellent response and sustain. The Macassar ebony fingerboard is valued for its luxurious appearance and durability. This contributes to the precise playability and longevity of the instrument.
The guitar features a mahogany neck for excellent strength and stability. Mahogany is known for its great resonance, contributing to a warm, rich tone with a distinctive mid-range.
The glossy finish gives any surface an elegant and luxurious look. This type of finish is achieved by applying several layers of lacquer or resin, which are then polished to a high gloss. This provides a smooth, reflective finish, enhancing color and structure of substrate. The glossy finish not only improves aesthetics, but also protects against dust, moisture and minor scratches.
A singlecut is a type of electric guitar with a single cutout in the top of the body to improve access to the higher frets. This design features a solid body that offers strong sustain and rich tone. Singlecut guitars are popular for their robust sound and comfort.
