The Epiphone Riviera, one of Epiphone’s original, most enduring classics makes a comeback! First introduced in the early ‘60s, the Epiphone Riviera’s semi-hollow design has been a favorite of players from all genres and generations including blues greats Robben Ford and Otis Rush, Lou Reed of the Velvet Underground, and The Strokes’ Nick Valensi, who have all found that the Riviera’s legendary ES™ body shape can produce great tones with any pickup variation. This Riviera features a layered maple top back and sides, a 3-layer pickguard with the classic metal Epiphone “E”, and comes equipped with Epiphone's LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ adjustable bridge and Frequensator tailpiece. Available in Royal Tan and Sparkling Burgundy full gloss finishes. Hardshell or EpiLite™ case sold separately.

Body

Body: Maple

Maple is a hardwood that produces a bright, clear tone with excellent articulation and distinctive highs. It has a quick response and strong sustain. It is valued for its hardness and aesthetic appearance.

Neck

Neck: Mahogany

The guitar features a mahogany neck for excellent strength and stability. Mahogany is known for its great resonance, contributing to a warm, rich tone with a distinctive mid-range.

Fretboard: Indian Laurel

Indian Laurel is a medium hard wood with a fine texture and a warm brown tone. It offers a balanced tone with a slightly softer response than ebony or maple. The Indian Laurel fingerboard is valued for its durability and feel, while offering a visually appealing and affordable alternative to more expensive woods.

Тype: Semi-Hollow Body

A semi-acoustic guitar is an electric guitar with a semi-hollow body that combines features of both electric and acoustic guitars. It has an internal cavity that enhances resonance and provides a warmer tone than full-bodied electric guitars, but is less susceptible to feedback than hollow-bodied guitars. Semi-acoustic guitars are popular in jazz, blues, and rock.

Pickups Configuration: HH

The humbucker-humbucker configuration means that the guitar is equipped with two humbucker pickups. It offers a powerful, full sound with high output and low noise, ideal for rock and metal.

A "miért lett megvéve ?", mert erősen nosztalgia. Rengeteg fotót, videót megnéztem, hallgattam, meglehetősen jó megközelítése az eredetinek. A gitár önmagában, akusztikusan rettentő hangos, meglepően hangos !

The guitar is great. If you're looking for an affordable ES-335-ish semi, you look no further. Looks better than the photos. Has that woody hollow tone not obtainable on a solid body. Center block does its job, so it doesn't howl with feedback when you play loud or with overdrive. Pickups feel like better quality. Clear, medium output, flat eq response (kinda like PAFs). The fretwork is nice. Overall setup needs a bit of tweaking (saddle, action, neck curve, tuning) but that's common with new gear. Balanced. Nicely sits on lap and doesn't lean forward when on strap. Easy access to higher frets, not always found in hollow bodies. There's one thing that's strange. Youtube reviews say that volume knobs work independently. In mine they don't - in middle position if you turn down either one the guitar goes silent.
