The built-in British-style equalizer imitates the sound of old mixing consoles from the 60s and 70s, whose musicality is still highly valued today. Thanks to this equalizer, any modifications do not disturb the original character of the sound - e.g. when the treble is lowered, the resulting sound is not "under the blanket" or the addition of lower frequencies does not mean that the bass becomes unintelligible and the rest of the frequency spectrum is obscured.
One of the most important effects today is undoubtedly the compressor. On the XENYX X1622USB mixing desk, we can find 4 independent compressors on the mono inputs. Since controlling the compressor is a matter for experienced professionals, Behringer has simplified it to a single potentiometer. You can very easily choose the appropriate level of compression for any instruments or vocals.
On the mixing desk we also find a 24-bit DSP effect unit with 16 editable presets. Effects such as reverb, chorus, flanger, delay, pitch shifter and their combinations are available. The Tap Tempo button is used for precise tempo setting.

The X1622USB model does not have the abbreviation USB in its name for nothing: it is equipped with a USB interface, thanks to which you can record the signal to the computer and also send the signal from the computer to the mixing console. Of course, there are line inputs equipped with a British equalizer, a pair of multi-purpose Stereo Aux Return inputs, 2 Aux sends, two subgroups with advanced routing, 60mm faders, a headphone output and, last but not least, a "Planet Earth" source that allows you to use the mixer anywhere in the world.
