The publication contains more than 60 well-established pieces from historical periods (Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque) and 13 original pieces in blues, jazz, or Latin styles by British flutist Alan Davis. The album was compiled by Jan Kvapil, author of the popular ''Flautoškoly'' textbooks, mostly drawing from ''Flautoškoly 3.''

  • The album includes pieces for solo recorder as well as accompanied pieces, along with other varied combinations for 2-3 recorders. Recordings of 32 selected pieces in various tempos and arrangements (harpsichord, piano, lute, guitar, viola da gamba, percussion instruments) are available online.
